Jessica is the founder and solo practitioner of illuminate qi. She has supported individuals and communities throughout the DMV for over 17 years, working across multiple healthcare disciplines to promote long-term health and well-being.

Her multidisciplinary background began as a certified Massage Therapist in 2008, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2013. She later completed a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2018 after studying at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA).

Jessica’s clinical work integrates structural, neurological, and internal medicine perspectives through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a preventative and restorative system. Her practice is best suited for individuals who are invested in their health and value an active, collaborative approach to care.

She has a passion for learning how the body functions and is dedicated to discovering different styles of treatment in order to produce effective results. Jessica is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science, further deepening her clinical, academic, and research-based training.

Central to her philosophy is self-efficacy during recovery. Jessica believes that when the heart and mind are engaged, the body is better able to respond to treatment. She views the body as an intelligent and resilient system capable of meaningful change when properly supported.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica maintains her own health and balance through strength training, yoga, and meditation.
